Some users might have trouble setting up or receiving OctoEverywhere printer notifications via SMS text messages. If that’s you, follow these steps to try to resolve it!

Known Issues

Due to the SMS system OctoEverywhere uses, some users are unable to receive SMS messages. OctoEverywhere has worked with and continues to work with various phone providers to fix the issue.
SMS messages are expensive to send, and since OctoEverywhere is community-supported, we have to be careful where we allocate our funds. Due to this, OctoEverywhere has to use a lower-cost SMS system that doesn’t work for about 3% of users. The OctoEverywhere team has to work with several phone providers to resolve issues. We have successfully worked with several phone providers to unblock our messages, and are actively working with more to enable SMS for more users.

Troubleshooting

OctoEverywhere SMS messages come from the phone number +1 (425) 866-9352. Take the following steps to ensure the phone number is not blocked and is allowed by your provider.
  1. On your Phone, save the number +1 (425) 866-9352 as a contact.
  2. Ensure that the phone number isn’t blocked in your phone settings.
  3. Call your cell phone provider and ask them to verify the phone number isn’t blocked in their system.
