The OctoPrint plugin is the easiest to update. You use OctoPrint’s built-in plugin manager to update the plugin. Here’s how:
- Go to your OctoPrint web interface.
- Click the wrench icon in the top right to open OctoPrint’s settings.
- Select “Software Update” from the left vertical list.
- Select the “Check for updates” button.
- When it’s complete, select the “Update” button if any updates are found.
- After OctoPrint restarts, you’ll be up to date!

You can update the OctoEverywhere plugin for Klipper in several ways.Option 1 - Use The Mainsail of Fluidd Web UIFor some Klipper installs, you can update the OctoEverywhere plugin directly from the Mainsail or Fluidd web UI.For Mainsail:
If you don’t see OctoEverywhere listed in the Mainsail or Fluidd UI, use Option 2 to update your plugin.
- Open your Mainsail web portal
- Select “Machine” on the left.
- In the “Update Manager”, click the circular refresh arrow icon.
- Click the “UPDATE” text in the OctoEverywhere component column.
- Open your Fluidd web portal
- Click the gear icon in the left-hand bar to open settings.
- Select “Software Updates”
- Select “Check for updates”
- Click the “UPDATE” text in the OctoEverywhere component column.
- SSH into the device running the OctoEverywhere plugin.
- In your user root, there should be a script called ”./update-octoeverywhere.sh”
- To run the script, type ”./update-octoeverywhere.sh”
- For some OS types, you need to use “sh ./update-octoeverywhere.sh”
- The script will update all of the OctoEverywhere plugins on your system!
