# Can I Use Special Offers With An Existing Sub? Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/frequently-asked-questions/existing-subscription-special-offers Unfortunately, no, the special offer promos on the website are only for new supporters. But if you're looking to save some money, consider switching to a yearly payment for a 30% discount. Yearly payments cost us less, so we pass the savings on to you! [Learn more about 30% off with yearly discounts.](/help-docs/account-help/save-30-with-yearly-billing) # Lifetime Supporter Perks Subscriptions Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/frequently-asked-questions/lifetime-supporter-perks-subscriptions OctoEverywhere does not offer lifetime Supporter Perks subscriptions at this time. Since the OctoEverywhere project is a live service, it costs a good amount of money to operate month-to-month. Features like our real-time webcam streaming and powerful server-based AI failure detection require substantial server capacity to operate at scale. Some of the 3rd-party apps that OctoEveywhere partners with to provide remote access offer lifetime subscriptions within their apps. But these 3rd-party apps are independent apps and developers, and their in-app purchases are not related to OctoEveywhere at all. Examples of these apps include OctoApp and OctoPod. OctoEverywhere occasionally sponsors giveaways on Reddit and various Discord servers and has in the past given away free lifetime subscriptions to winning users. These users have been manually recorded by the OctoEverywhere team and can be verified if they have problems with their won lifetime perks. # OctoEverywhere Vs OctoApp Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/frequently-asked-questions/octoeverywhere-vs-octoapp OctoEverywhere and OctoApp are both 3D printing community apps, but they are made by completely different developers! We know that's confusing. ## Background Both start with "Octo" because they began as extensions of OctoPrint. It's common in the OctoPrint ecosystem for plugins and apps that work with OctoPrint to be called "Octo" something. But over time, both OctoEverywhere and OctoApp have grown to support many more platforms. The developers behind OctoApp and OctoEverywhere have a very strong relationship. OctoApp is one of the top apps to support OctoEverywhere's features. ## Subscriptions OctoEverywhere and OctoApp also have different subscriptions. OctoEverywhere's Supporter Perks can only be purchased from OctoEverywhere's website, support the project, and unlock extra features for the user, like 3rd-party app support. OctoApp also offers an in-app subscription to unlock extra features, usually purchased through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. These two subscriptions are completely independent. OctoApp subscriptions can only be managed by OctoApp. For help with OctoApp subscriptions, use the OctoApp support system. # Why Are My PayPal Supporter Perks More Expensive? Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/frequently-asked-questions/paypal-price-increase **PayPal raised its payment fees, which forced us to increase our monthly and yearly fees. However, we support over 15 payment methods worldwide, [listed here](/help-docs/account/supporter-perks/supporter-payment-methods). **Any user can switch away from PayPal to receive the standard Supporter Perks pricing.** Simply cancel your current Supporter Perks, then set them up again using a new payment method. # Quickstart Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/help-docs/getting-started/quickstart **OctoEverywhere levels up almost any 3D printer with:** * Free, Secure, & Unlimited Remote Access * Free & Unlimited AI Print Failure Detection * Real-time Notifications to Email, Discord, SMS, & More * Top-Rated iPhone and Android Apps * Live Streaming, Quick View, Printer Dashboard, & More! What are you waiting for? [Add OctoEverywhere To Your 3D Printer In 30 Seconds!](https://octoeverywhere.com/?source=help_quick_start) # MQTT Relay Server Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/help-docs/plugin/bambu-lab-mqtt-relay-server The OctoEverywhere plugin can also host an MQTT broker server that combines all clients' connections into a single MQTT connection to the 3D printer. This is very useful for 3D printers like the Bambu A1, Bambu P1, and Elegoo CC2 that have a maximum number of clients that can connect directly to them. The OctoEverywhere MQTT relay server works with all Bambu Lab 3D printers and the Elegoo Cenatiur Carbon 2. ## Install The MQTT relay is built into the OctoEverywhere plugin, [so first ensure you have the OctoEverywhere plugin set up for your 3D printer.](https://octoeverywhere.com/getstarted?source=help_mqtt_relay_setup) ## Security By default, the MQTT server running in the OctoEverywhere plugin will require the same username and password authentication as your 3D printer. But you can also choose to set a static username and password or turn off auth if desired. ## Configure ### Docker Image The OctoEverywhere Docker plugin can be configured by editing the [Docker environment variables used to start the container](https://github.com/QuinnDamerell/OctoPrint-OctoEverywhere/blob/master/docker-readme.md), or by directly editing the `octoeverywhere.conf` file in the mounted data folder. ### Standalone Linux CLI Plugin The standalone Linux plugin is configured via its config file, located in your home directory. OctoEverywhere will create a unique folder for each plugin instance on your computer. You can list them all using the following command: `ls -a | grep octoeverywhere` Once you have found the folder, open the config file with a text editor. There will be an MQTT section with all settings for the MQTT server. `nano ~/.octoeverywhere-bambu/octoeverywhere.conf` # How To Get Your Plugin Logs Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/help-docs/plugin/octoeverywhere-plugin-logs Every installation of the OctoEverywhere has a log file that is useful for finding issues and debugging. **The plugin logs can contain private information - keep them private.** ## Step 1: Put Your Plugin In Debug Mode First, you need to put your plugin into debug mode **and restart it.** Based on your plugin install type, choose an option: If you installed Bambu Connect, Elegoo Connect, or the Klipper Companion via SSH, you must retrieve your logs from the device where the plugin is running. 1. SSH into the device running the OctoEverywhere plugin. 2. Go to your user home. 1. `cd ~` 3. Depending on your plugin type, look for the following directory. If you have multiple plugins, a `-#` will be appended to the directory name. 1. Bambu Connect 1. `~/.octoeverywhere-bambu/` 2. Elegoo Connect 1. `~/.octoeverywhere-elegoo/` 3. Klipper Companion 1. `~/.octoeverywhere` 4. Edit the plugin config: 1. `nano /octoeverywhere.conf` 5. Enable debug logging: 1. Set `log_level`Β to `DEBUG` 6. Exit the editor 1. Press Ctrl + X to exit, press `Y`Β to save. 7. Restart the plugin or restart the device. If you're using a terminal such as MobaXterm, you can use the tool UI to copy the file to your local device. If you're SSHing from the terminal, you can use a command like ```text theme={null} scp @:~/.octoeverywhere-elegoo/log/octoeverywhere.log ~/octoeverywhere.log ``` This SCP command copies the log file from the remote device at the specified IP address to your device's home directory. If you're using the Windows Plugin Manager App: 1. Open the app 2. Click the "Open Data Folder" button next to the plugin you want. 3. Use a text editor to edit the `octoeverywhere.conf`Β file 4. Set `log_level`Β to `DEBUG` 5. Restart the plugin or restart your computer. If you're using the Docker container for any plugin type, your config file is located in the mapped root of the Docker data folder. ```text theme={null} /octoeverywhere.conf ``` Use a text editor to open the file and set the value of `log_level` to `DEBUG`. Be sure to restart the Docker container or reboot the computer. **Mainsail:** 1. Open the Mainsail web UI 2. Click `Machine` in the left navigational menu 3. In the `Config Files` section, find the file named `octoeverywhere.cfg` 4. Click `octoeverywhere.cfg` to open it for editing. 5. Change `log_level = INFO` to `log_level = DEBUG` 6. Click `Save & Restart` at the top right. **Fluidd:** 1. Open the Fluidd web UI 2. Click `Configuration` in the left navigational menu 3. In the `Config Files` section, find the file named `octoeverywhere.cfg` 4. Click `octoeverywhere.cfg` to open it for editing. 5. Change `log_level = INFO` to `log_level = DEBUG` 6. Click the disk save icon at the top right. 7. Click the `X` to close the config editor. 8. Restart the device to ensure the new logging level takes effect. Here's how to get your logs: 1. Open your OctoPrint web portal. 2. Open the OctoPrint settings 3. Go to "Logging" in the settings 4. Delete your current logs: 1. Find the log row that says "octoprint.log" 2. Click the trash can icon to delete it. 5. Set Logging Level: 1. Under "Logging Levels" find "octoprint" and make sure the value is DEBUG 6. Press "Save" to close the settings UI ## Step 2: Reduce The Issue Once you have the plugin in debug mode and have started the plugin, reproduce the issue, ideally a few times. After you have reproduced it, give the plugin about a minute to fully output the logs. ## Step 3: Get The Plugin Log Now you need to get the log file and send it to our support team. You can share the file directly into the on-page chat window using the paper clip icon. You can also send it as a file attachment via email. 1. SSH into the device running the OctoEverywhere plugin. 2. Go to your user home. 1. `cd ~` 3. Depending on your plugin type, look for the following directory. If you have multiple plugins, a -# will be appended to the directory name. 1. Bambu Connect 1. `~/.octoeverywhere-bambu/` 2. Elegoo Connect 1. `~/.octoeverywhere-elegoo/` 3. Klipper Companion 1. `~/.octoeverywhere` 4. In the OctoEverywhere data root, the log path is: 1. `/log/octoeverywhere.log` If you're using a terminal such as MobaXterm, you can use the tool UI to copy the file to your local device. 3. Open the `logs` folder 4. Share the `octoeverywhere.log` file in the folder. If you're using the Docker container for any plugin type, your log files are located in the mapped Docker data folder root. ```text theme={null} /log/octoeverywhere.log ``` **Mainsail:** 1. Open the Mainsail web UI 2. Click `Machine` in the left navigational menu 3. In the `Config Files` section, find the box labeled `root`. The box defaults to the value `config` as the root. 4. Change the `root` drop-down to `logs`. 5. Find the most recent `octoeverywhere.log` file. 6. Right-click the log file and select `Download`. **Fluidd:** 1. Open the Fluidd web UI 2. Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/knowledge-base/bambu-lab-3-d-printers/bambu-connect-lan-only-mode **Yes, and no.** Bambu Lab released a software update for their printers in early 2025 that locked down the printers from 3rd-party plugins and hardware. By default, Bambu Lab 3D printers **do not** have LAN Only or Developer modes enabled. **LAN Only Mode and Developer Mode DISABLED:** OctoEverywhere's Bambu Connect plugin can access the Bambu Lab 3D printers in read-only mode. This means the Bambu Connect plugin can view the printer's status and state, print stats, and access the webcam. The plugin can add or remove files, or control the printer to start, stop, or pause prints. This includes Gadget AI; Gadget cannot smart-pause your printer if it detects a failure when LAN Only Mode and Developer Mode are disabled. **LAN Only Mode and Developer Mode ENABLED:** OctoEveryhwhere's Bambu Connect plugin has read and write access to the Bambu Lab 3D printer. This means the Bambu Connect plugin has full access to the 3D printer, including reading stats and state, managing files, viewing the webcam, and controlling it. # Setup Bambu Connect On A Raspberry Pi Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/knowledge-base/bambu-lab-3-d-printers/bambu-connect-raspberry-pi-setup OctoEverywhere's [Bambu Connect](https://octoeverywhere.com/bambu?source=help_pi_install) enables the full power of OctoEverywhere on any Bambu Lab 3D printer. You can access the `octoeverywhere.conf` file from either Mainsail or Fluidd in the same place you edit the `printer.cfg` or `moonraker.conf`. 2. Open the `octoeverywhere.conf` file and edit the `frontend_port` to whatever local port you would use to access the frontend. 1. For example, if you use `https://192.168.1.2:81` to access the frontend, enter `81` as the port. 3. Before you see the change take effect,Β **you need to restart the OctoEverywhere serviceΒ on your Klipper device and clear your web browser cache.** 2. Use the installer to update the port. 1. SSH into the device and run the installer script: 1. `bash <(curl -s https://octoeverywhere.com/install.sh)` 2. The installer will ask if you want to recover an existing instance; enter the number next to the instance you want to edit. 3. As part of the installer recovery, it will search for frontends you can select and prompt you to choose one. 4. Before you see the change applied, **you must clear your web browser cache.** It's that easy! Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/knowledge-base/plugin/multiple-plugins-on-one-device **Yes!** You can run multiple instances of the Klipper companion, Bambu Connect, or Elegoo Connect plugin on the same Raspberry Pi. The only limit is the device's CPU power. A Raspberry Pi 4 can usually run 5-6 plugins with no issue. To set up multiple plug-ins on a single device, run the install script once for each 3D printer. Each time a script runs, you will be prompted to recover an existing plug-in or create a new one. # How To Find Your PrusaLink IP Address Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/knowledge-base/prusalink/how-to-find-your-prusa-link-ip-address Finding the IP address of your PrusaLink is easy. ## Directly On Your 3D Printer For any 3D printer that runs PrusaLink by default, or has a Raspberry Pi plugged in running PrusaLink, you can find the server's IP directly on the 3D printer's home screen. ## Via Your Web Browser You can also use the hostname you typically type into your browser to access PrusaLink as the IP address for OctoEverywhere's plugin. The address you normally use to access PrusaLink might be something like: 1. `192.168.1.15` - An IP address 2. `prusalink.local` - A local hostname Either of these will work with the OctoEverywhere plugin for PrusaLink! # How To Find Your PrusaLink API Key Source: https://help.octoeverywhere.com/knowledge-base/prusalink/how-to-find-your-prusalink-api-key There are two ways plugins can use authentication to interact with PrusaLink: 1. Using your PursaLink username and password 2. Using your PrusaLink API key ## PrusaLink Username & Password If you want to use your username and password, simply enter them in the OctoEverywhere PrusaLink plugin when prompted. Remember if you change your password, you will need to update the plugin settings! ## PrusaLink API Key PrusaLink will generate an API key that the OctoEverywhere plugin can use to access PrusaLink. The main advantage is that it does not change when you update your password! Here's how to find or generate your PrusaLink API key: 1. Open PrusaLink in your browser. 2. Click the "Settings" text at the top right. 3. Scroll down to "API Key" 4. Copy the API key, and you're done! If the API key is blank, click the "Reset" button to generate it! This will happen the first time you try to access the API key. # Can I Access My 3D Printer's API From The Public Internet Or Webhook? If that's you, follow these steps to try to resolve it! ## Known Issues Due to the SMS system OctoEverywhere uses, some users are unable to receive SMS messages. OctoEverywhere has worked with and continues to work with various phone providers to fix the issue. SMS messages are expensive to send, and since OctoEverywhere is community-supported, we have to be careful where we allocate our funds. Due to this, OctoEverywhere has to use a lower-cost SMS system that doesn't work for about 3% of users. The OctoEverywhere team has to work with several phone providers to resolve issues. We have successfully worked with several phone providers to unblock our messages, and are actively working with more to enable SMS for more users. ## Troubleshooting OctoEverywhere SMS messages come from the phone number `+1 (425) 866-9352`. Take the following steps to ensure the phone number is not blocked and is allowed by your provider. 1. On your Phone, save the number `+1 (425) 866-9352` as a contact. 2. Ensure that the phone number isn't blocked in your phone settings. 3. Call your cell phone provider and ask them to verify the phone number isn't blocked in their system.
